The forestation intervention in which the Municipality of Reggio Emilia was the protagonist and which led to the planting of 1000 new plants in the San Prospero urban forestone of the largest green areas in the city, located in the San Prospero Strinati district between Viale dei Treati di Roma and Via Marsilio da Padova. The project, accomplished with the support of Foxy, he rejoins Mosaico Verdethe national campaign for forestation of urban and extra-urban areas and protection of forests conceived and promoted by AzzeroCO2 and Legambiente.

The intervention, specifically, affected the so-called lowland forest inside the park. This is land in the Po Valley that has not been deforested or converted to agricultural use and in which native species are now replanted with the aim of return the territory to its original appearance. Particular attention was therefore paid to the choice of species planted identified among those consistent with the climatic conditions of the area and capable of resisting flooding: the hornbeamil ash treeil Cherry treethe broom and the viburnum.
