SAN PEDRO (special envoy) With more dialysis units and specialized human resources, the Hemodialysis service of the San Pedro del Ycuamandiyú regional hospital will be able to care for twice as many patients. The dentistry area was also strengthened with two new dental chairs.
During her visit to the Region, the Minister of Health and her team spoke with the Governor, the mayors and parliamentarians about the health situation of the department, to seek solutions to the most urgent needs.
During her visit to the second department of the country, an occasion in which they met with national, departmental and local authorities, the Minister of Health and her team visited the regional hospital of San Pedro del Ycuamandiyú to verify the progress of the works in the Hemodialysis area , where more units will be installed soon.
With the support of the municipality in the spare parts, appropriate to the requirements for its authorization as a dialysis center, and the provision of more specialized human resources by the Ministry of Health, the service will go from 20 patients to serving 40.

Through the Oral Health Directorate, the Ministry of Health provided two new dental chairs to the regional hospital, which now brings the total to three in the service. Transfer of funds for health outcomes
In the meeting with the Governor, representatives of Parliament and Mayors, in addition to addressing the most urgent health needs in each district, the agreements with the Health Councils for the transfer of funds for health results were made official, a new approach to decentralization , whose goals are to improve vaccination coverage, maternal and child health, and care for chronic patients, among other indicators.
