Adm, classified as ‘toys’ and with no exact provenance
(ANSA) – SAVONA, 22 SEPTEMBER – The officials of the Monopoly and Customs Agency have seized 868 scooters from China in the Port of Vado Ligure (Savona) and improperly classified as ‘toys’. The seizure took place during a reclamation operation. Inside a container 434 cartons were found, containing 2 scooters each. The packaging and labeling did not show any real indication of the origin of the goods, but the information accompanying the individual scooters would have led the consumer to consider them to be of European invoice.
The Adm reported the fact to the judicial authorities by hypothesizing the violation of the rule that punishes the marketing of industrial products (as well as intellectual property) bearing false trademarks or distinctive signs and the Madrid agreement on the repression of false indications of provenance of the goods.
