This is the message that invaded the hearts of the vallenatos through the film ‘Sin Clemencia’, a story that came to the screen to give an example of tolerance in the face of adversity, which among families and friends, can be presented as part of the everyday.

The film by the Argentine-Mexican director and actor, Mauro Mauad, was recently screened in the capital of Cesar as part of its promotion that has also been effective in Manizales, Medellín, Tumaco, Cali and Bogotá.

Its name refers to the attitude that each of the families will gradually adopt regarding the other’s attacks. Furthermore, it is the name of the cow, whose character is the main trigger of the conflict.

In dialogue with Ajá and Qué Valledupar, the director of ‘Sin Clemencia’, explains that in life not everything is conflict, everything must flow, “we are all going to die and it is of no use to live in fights over material issues that ultimately the human being It will not be taken to its final resting place.”

THE DRAMA

The story begins when Clemencia, the main cow, crosses from one field to another, giving rise to a dispute between two friends, Eusebio and Nicanor, who had agreed not to divide the field they bought together with a fence. Without Clemency is the absence of the cow.

The owner of the cow (Eusebio) decides to break this agreement when (Nicanor) retains the cow due to a mistake made by his son (Jacinto), who accidentally registers it as his property. Trying to compensate for the loss, Eusebio installs a fence 5 meters inside the Nicanor camp, establishing what will finally succumb to a war between families that will take to its final consequences.

It was set in a picturesque environment, with a cast headed by Mario Jurado, Roberto Marín, Laura Ángel and Jair Meneses, in addition to a captivating plot, it takes the audience on a journey of emotions and reflections.

“It is a drama that makes us rethink the limits between what can be a small misunderstanding and a problem that leads to death. ‘Sin Clemencia’ is a story based on love, conflict and redemption. It explores family relationships and the challenges faced by adversity, but also invites us to reflect on the power of forgiveness and the importance of putting aside pride in favor of harmony,” explained the director born in Centenario and currently based in Colombia.

He added that the production was recorded in 2021 in the municipality of Fuentedeoro, Meta, and was born from the desire to tell stories of daily life. “We always want to be right, ignorance reflects man’s stubbornness and that is the great challenge that we must overcome today. The filmmaker reiterated that the film invites us to reflect on the complexity and fragility of personal relationships. “The most visceral part of human beings and the stubbornness of maintaining a point, even until losing everything, flourishes. That’s what happens with these two friends; It is a message that seeks to resonate in every human being, since it is not necessary to sustain the world so much.
