“Smart Fishing Ground” Creates “Blue Granary” Busy Fish Harvesting from Deep Sea

CCTV news: From May 1, my country will fully enter the marine fishing moratorium. In order to ensure the supply of high-quality aquatic products, the deep-sea green intelligent large-scale breeding equipment launched in my country’s coastal areas is currently accelerating fishery production.

In the eastern waters of Nanhuangcheng Island, Changdao, Shandong, fish are being produced from the deep-water breeding cages of the “Jinghai No. 7” breeding platform. “Jinghai No. 7” can raise 2 million catties of fish at a time. Since 2024, this platform has produced 12 batches of fish, totaling more than 200,000 catties.

In this breeding enterprise in Laizhou Bay of the Bohai Sea, the spotted rock bream that has been cultured through land-sea relays are also being harvested in the past few days. After these fish grow to a certain size in the breeding factory on land, they are then transferred to the “Blue Diamond No. 1” deep-sea large-scale pipe pile breeding pen, where they grow for 6 months. In winter, they are taken back to the breeding factory. Fish can grow and develop in a good environment all year round.

Compared with traditional breeding methods, deep-sea breeding facilities and equipment are more advanced, breeding technology is more advanced, and the industrial chain is more complete. The “Jinghai No. 7” breeding platform is the largest deep-sea breeding platform in the country. How is farming carried out in the deep-sea?

On the platform, various sensors, underwater and water cameras, and radar signal transmission pipelines can be seen everywhere. In the control room, staff can obtain relevant information about the breeding waters in real time.

Liu Yulei, the person in charge of the company, said that on the breeding platform, they have installed more than 50 cameras alone. These recording equipment can scan and take pictures of fish, and even the size and weight of each fish can be tracked and photographed to determine which fish The fish reached catchable standards.

On a large screen on land dozens of kilometers away, managers can simultaneously learn about the production status of the breeding platform while sitting in the office, and provide timely guidance.
