Sostegni bis, Revenue and Mef decree: “payments arranged”

by admin

Revenue Agency and the Ministry of Economy announce the start of 1.77 million transfers and 38 thousand tax credits

In a joint press release, the Inland Revenue and the Ministry of Economy and Finance announce that “the payments of the non-repayable contributions automatically recognized by the Sostegni bis Decree (art. 1 of Legislative Decree no. 73/2021) have been arranged in favor of economic operators, affected by the epidemiological emergency “Covid-19”, already beneficiaries of the contribution provided for by the first Sostegni decree (Legislative Decree no. 41/2021) ».

The funds were supposed to leave on June 16, but everything has remained blocked until today, sparking a lot of controversy.

In the note released today, Revenue and Mef explain: “These are, in particular, 1.77 million transfers – for a total of about 5 billion euros – which, without the need for new requests, will be credited directly to the current accounts of the subjects who had requested and received the aid provided for by the first Sostegni decree. In addition to these transfers there are also approximately 38 thousand tax credits, for approximately 166 million euros, which are recognized, again automatically, to the operators who had chosen this method of disbursement. In total there are therefore more than 1.8 million beneficiaries of the new automatic contribution for a total of 5.2 billion euros “.

The financial support will be paid by the Revenue Agency in the same way that the beneficiary had chosen for the previous contribution.
