Replying to Burioni’s tweet against the deputy of the Northern League (“I can’t believe that an irresponsible disinformer as proud of his pure ignorance as you are in the same party of good people as Luca Zaia e Massimiliano Fedriga“) the girl called Alessia, of no vax ideas, he commented “I am proud that in the League there are people like Alex Bazzaro”. At that point Burioni replied by posting an enlargement of her profile photo of the girl and her, probably referring to her physical appearance, commenting “I understand”. The virologist then deleted the tweet and apologized: “It wasn’t my intention.”
But at that point on the web the controversy had already exploded, even beyond the social networks.
