A very hot and satisfying summer for the Senior athletes of Foce Sanremo, thanks to victories and podium placements in road and mountain races captured by Cristiano Salerno, Luca Olivero and Daniele Carlini.
Cristiano Salerno obtained a great victory in the Monesi-Redentore, a real time trial in the splendid alpine setting of Mount Saccarello, thus replicating the success of 2020. To confirm the excellent sensations, Cristiano stopped the chronometer at 43’15 by lowering about fifty seconds the excellent chronometric result of 2020.
Luca Olivero after interesting tests on the track, won in the coastal race of Sant’Erasmo in Arma di Taggia (about 10.2 km, covered in 35’31 “) and in the spectacular and now famous Corrida di Badalucco, an unmissable event in the village. in the Argentina valley, a remarkable time of 15’39 ”obtained at the Marina Classic of Loano over a little less than 5 km (third place).
Daniele Carlini won, in Piedmontese territory, the race «A pee pel zu i trevi», in the alleys of Ormea, and two prestigious podiums in the Corrida di Badalucco (third) and in the Urban Trail of Sanremo (second).
Now all attention is focused on the Race to Monte Faudo, organized by the Marathon Club Imperia and scheduled for Sunday 19th.
