The 2024 National Intellectual Property Publicity Week has officially kicked off, with the city of Chongqing hosting a series of activities to promote the importance of intellectual property rights.
The Chongqing branch event was held at the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum, where the Municipal Intellectual Property Office signed cooperation agreements with various organizations to focus on high-quality development of intellectual property services. An exhibition showcasing intellectual property achievements in various industries such as new energy vehicles, electronic information technology, and biomedicine was also featured.
This year’s theme for the Intellectual Property Publicity Week is “Transformation and Application of Intellectual Property to Promote High-Quality Development”, and the event will run from April 20 to 26.
As part of the week-long event, the city will host an exchange meeting on intellectual property transformation and application results, a press conference on intellectual property protection, and launch the Mountain City Intellectual Property Tea Club to engage the public in Chongqing’s intellectual property initiatives.
Additionally, various departments and units across the city will conduct extensive outreach and education on intellectual property rights, targeting different groups such as innovative entities, young people, and the general public. The goal is to enhance awareness and respect for intellectual property rights and create a culture of innovation and fair competition in society.
