The Agrario canteen will be restructured: half a million euros from the NRP

The part of the services (kitchen and storage) will be made safe, completely renovating the rooms, which have some humidity problems. In addition, all the windows will be changed and the facade will be redone

FELT. The canteen of the Della Lucia di Vellai agricultural institute will be completely redone. The Province of Belluno has been awarded another important Pnrr project, for a loan of 505 thousand euros.

«Only five provinces in all of Italy have seen the interventions in this specific branch of the NRP financed. In Veneto, Belluno and Padua. It means that we have done an excellent job and for this we must give credit to all the staff who worked with commitment and professionalism », comments Roberto Padrin, president of the Province of Belluno.

The refurbishment project of the canteen of the agricultural institute is ambitious: it will secure the part of the services (kitchen and storage), completely renovating the rooms, which today have some humidity problems. In addition, all the windows will be changed and the facade will be redone. “It will be a useful intervention, as well as aesthetically pleasing,” explains Lucia Da Rold, vice president of the Province, with responsibility for school construction. «The canteen of Vellai represents an indispensable service for the school, since it prepares over 200 meals at noon and over a hundred at dinner for the boys of the boarding school. Retraining it means ensuring a higher quality of life within the school for pupils and teachers ».

With the canteen tender, the Province of Belluno currently benefits from a total funding of 16.4 million euros from Pnrr for schools. In fact, in the sum there is the “project” of the Negrelli institute, for which the demolition and reconstruction from scratch is planned. “The recovery and resilience plan is the great opportunity to redevelop those schools that would otherwise require a series of interventions difficult to finance in a unitary and structural way “, concludes the president. “Now we await the results of the other calls in which we have participated.”
