The case in Cortina: “Attacked in a pizzeria just for asking for a receipt”

by admin

A Treviso family filed a complaint with the police. The owner of the restaurant defends himself: “They wanted a discount”

CORTINA. Fight for a receipt. Misadventure with final complaint filed by a couple from Treviso, on holiday in Cortina. Wednesday evening there would have been a violent argument with the owner of the pizzeria al Passetto, after having ordered and paid for three pizzas to take away for 27 euros: “I was attacked by the manager of the restaurant”, says Matteo Frisacco, “all because I had asked for the issue of the receipt, which was not delivered to me.

I suffered heavy threats and insults from him and from the waiters, who surrounded me and pulled me outside the room, all in front of my partner and my two small children. I was almost forced to get into my car after the man went head-to-head with me. I was afraid he might even want to get his hands on me. ‘

The Frisacco are regular guests of Cortina and they had never had any setbacks, much less of this kind: «We come often and we have not had any problems. This time we were forced to call the police to file a complaint and the matter is in the hands of the judiciary. The crime hypotheses have not yet been specified ».

The restaurateur Giorgio Ghedina was warned by the Commissariat of the existence of the deed against him: «I heard about this customer, who had shown a lot of arrogance towards me. I beat the receipt, depositing it on the tray, at 20.56. It is our guest who did not withdraw it, so I did what I always do, placing it in one of those nails that are used for orders. For this reason, there is a hole. Let’s say rather that, after paying and walking away for a few minutes waiting for the pizzas, he came back and wanted a discount. This is how the quarrel was born ».

A receipt or a discount? «But do you think I’m asking for a discount for an expense of 27 euros?», Frisacco spreads his arms indignantly, «especially since I had already paid the amount due. I only complained about the missing receipt, also because the time does not coincide and, in response, I was attacked. I do not deny having responded to some bad words uttered by the pizza chef, but my main concern was to safeguard my children, in the face of a scene that deeply moved us. Never seen such a thing ».
