To this end, the School of Public Administration of Zhejiang University and the School of Economics jointly established the Zhejiang University Sharing and Development Institute, aiming to provide academic basis and policy recommendations for achieving the goal of common prosperity through high-level research results.
It is reported that the institute is headed by well-known economist Li Shi and senior professor of liberal arts at Zhejiang University Yao Xianguo. It is reported that the Institute of Sharing and Development of Zhejiang University will carry out research on common prosperity, high-quality development, people’s livelihood security and public governance, income distribution reform and policies, and quantitative evaluation of public policies.
In terms of common prosperity, the institute will promote the construction of the common prosperity database, and carry out research on the theory of common prosperity with Chinese characteristics and common prosperity policies; in promoting high-quality development, the institute will focus on the economics of human development, inequality of opportunity, and child development. , Rural revitalization and residents’ income increase, etc., and pay attention to issues such as urbanization, migrant workers’ urbanization and population mobility.
Li Shi said that common prosperity is the wealth of everyone in the whole society, and “one cannot be less.” On the one hand, the Institute should summarize the problems in income distribution and unbalanced development; on the other hand, it should find a path suitable for China’s development so that low-income groups and people in need can actively participate in it.
To this end, the institute will conduct research on the demographic situation and social security policy reforms such as population policy, pension, medical care, common prosperity, and equalization of basic public services. Make efforts in policy reform to build a common wealth evaluation and monitoring system, a public policy database, a public policy evaluation report database, and a public policy evaluation and monitoring visualization platform.
