With a whistle, a train loaded with local furniture and other goods from Longnan in Jiangxi slowly departed from Longnan Station on the 30th, heading south to Yantian Port in Shenzhen, and then exported by sea, finally reaching the United States. This is the first rail-sea intermodal train opened from Longnan, Jiangxi to Shenzhen.

A total of 23 containers were loaded on the train that opened on that day. Compared with the previous road transportation, the time was shortened from 1 to 2 days to within 12 hours. The initial frequency was once a day, and it will be gradually increased in the future. After the opening of the train, the transportation cost from Longnan and surrounding counties and cities to the port has been reduced by about 30% compared with road transportation.

It is understood that, in order to do a good job in the transportation of this train, China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Ganzhou Depot and China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. Nanchang Branch have worked together to formulate detailed transportation plans and carefully arrange empty car allocation plans. , Organize safety management personnel to carry out work guidance on site, and implement relevant measures such as distribution capacity in advance.

The railway department stated that the opening of the Longnan-Shenzhen rail-sea combined transport train marked the formal formation of a new southern land-sea channel connecting Longnan with the “Belt and Road”. It is a concrete measure taken by Longnan to actively support the construction of an open economic pilot zone in Jiangxi.
