New site, in Italian and English, with virtual tours for the smartphone. The project was born from the collaboration between the diocese and the Duke of Abruzzi

TREVISO. A new site, in Italian and English, to give concrete form and value to the contents, not always known, of the Treviso Cathedral. With a special fuel: the work behind the scenes of the students of the 3B of Applied Sciences of the Lyceum Duke of the Abruzzi. Presented in the seat of the Treviso Episcopal Curia, the new domain, duomotreviso.netlify.app, is open to the discovery and immersion of the lesser-known corners of the historic city monument.

“The project was born within the discipline that I teach the Duke of Abruzzi, geometric design and art history, with a strong will: to translate the artistic heritage of the territory to children”, underlines the professor Cristina Trancheseproject manager in synergy with don Paolo Barbisan and the Treviso diocese.

Browsing in the corners of the site, still being optimized, you can come across the explanation and deepening of the architecture of the place, the works (with explanatory caption), the description and the historical heritage of the crypt, the baptistery and the diocese .

«During the last year we have focused on an important research work, the boys have set up a real publishing company before“ settling ”at the Duomo to make the inspections. On the site there is really everything, but it was not enough: by downloading the app via Windows or Mac, you can also take an ideal tour from home », Tranchese concludes. «With the mouse you can move inside the church, discovering absolutely unknown works and curiosities; finally, for those equipped with a VR viewer, there is also the possibility of being able to walk freely in the Duomo thanks to the help of virtual reality ».
