The sea to be protected as a natural resource and valorized as osustainable development opportunities for businesses. This is the objective of the tender, approved with a resolution of the regional council, which confirms the commitment of the Emilia Romagna region to support a transition towards a blue economy regenerative, resilient and sustainable.
What is financed
The tender finances transnational research and innovation projects which focus on four priority areas: Digital twins of the oceans (Dto, the definition at the link); development of sectors of the blue economy and multipurpose marine infrastructure; planning and management of sea uses at regional level; blue bioresources.
The recipients of the announcement
The following can apply: Laboratories and centers accredited to High technology network of the Emilia-Romagna Region and small and medium-sized enterprises with registered and/or operational headquarters in Emilia-Romagna. The benefits are granted on a non-repayable basis with this aid intensity: 70%.

The application takes place in two phases, the regional one in parallel with the international application. Applications will be sent to the Emilia-Romagna Region in conjunction with the transnational deadlines. The first deadline is set for April 10, 2024.
This call contributes to the implementation of Smart specialization strategy 2021-2027with particular reference to the thematic area of Blue Growth.
