The Second Session of the 13th Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Opens Grandly

On the morning of January 22, the second meeting of the 13th Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference opened at the Anhui Grand Theater. Members from all walks of life across the province entered the venue in high spirits and high spirits.

The grand opening was attended by several key figures, including Provincial CPPCC Chairman Tang Liangzhi, Vice Chairman Sun Yunfei, Zhou Xian, Zheng Hong, and many others. The event was also attended by Han Jun, Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Wang Qingxian, Deputy Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Governor of the Provincial People’s Government, and many other leaders.

The meeting was also attended by former principal leaders of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, and the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, along with vice-chairmen of the 12th Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

The second session was supposed to be attended by 737 members, but 710 actually attended, meeting the required number. The conference opened with the national anthem, and the executive chairs of this conference were Tang Liangzhi, Sun Yunfei, Zhou Xian, Zheng Hong, Li Heping, Zheng Yongfei, Zhang Xiangan, Tao Yisheng, and Ma Chuanxi.

During the meeting, Tang Liangzhi made a work report on behalf of the Provincial CPPCC Standing Committee. He emphasized the important role of specialized consultation bodies in the development of people’s democracy, and their aspirations to contribute positively to the country’s goals and tasks.

Zheng Yongfei, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, made a report on the work of proposals since the first session of the 13th CPPCC. He discussed the achievements and significance of the proposal work in the past year, outlining the committee’s commitment to steer the proposal work in the right direction and contribute to Anhui’s efforts to embark on a new path of high-quality development in the new era.

Additionally, five members made speeches at the meeting, addressing various issues and offering suggestions. The opening meeting was also attended by members of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in Anhui Province, responsible comrades of relevant provincial departments, representatives of Taiwan compatriots, overseas Chinese, and provincial government counselor representatives.
