Intersection News On the morning of January 25, the second session of the 14th Provincial People’s Congress held its second plenary session. Nobunaga Hoshi, executive chairman of the presidium of the conference and secretary of the provincial party committee, presided over the meeting.
Nobunagaxing, Han Liming, Liu Xiaotao, Cheng Xiaojian, Du Xiaogang, Song Lewei, Chen Jinhu, Wu Xinming, Ma Shiguang, Shi Zhijun, Zhou Bin, Wang Jinjian, Ma Minglong, Chen Zhongwei, and Wan Wenhua served as the executive chairman of the conference. There were 798 delegates expected to attend the conference, but 757 actually showed up, meeting the quorum.
Entrusted by Xin Changxing, Fan Jinlong, executive deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, made a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress.
Fan Jinlong said that in the past year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress reviewed a total of 20 legal bills, passed 13 of them, approved 63 regulations on the division of districts and cities; made 8 resolutions and decisions; and heard and deliberated on 27 special projects of “one government and two courts” Work and plans, budgets and final accounts, and audit reports; carried out 7 law enforcement inspections; appointed and dismissed 201 state agency staff in accordance with the law; reviewed 30 deputies’ motions, and handled 662 deputies’ suggestions. All the goals and tasks set at the beginning of the year were successfully completed, and the work of this Provincial People’s Congress got off to a good start.
Fan Jinlong has solidly carried out thematic education and firmly grasped the correct political direction of the work of the National People’s Congress; carefully organized learning and practical activities to give full play to the main role of the National People’s Congress representatives; deeply practiced the whole process of people’s democracy, made progress while maintaining stability, and improved the work level of the National People’s Congress; served the overall situation and fulfilled They reviewed the main work of the past year in five aspects: fulfilling their responsibilities to better promote high-quality economic and social development; focusing on close coordination and linkage between top and bottom levels, and continuously enhancing the overall synergy of the work of the National People’s Congress. Over the past year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress has deeply studied Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focused its mind and soul on the Party’s innovative theory, and further improved and strictly implemented the system of requesting instructions and reporting to the Provincial Party Committee.
