The Sparkasse takeover bid on Civibank, the announcement, the reactions, the battle on the shares and the one with appeals: this is what we know

UDINE. The first moves on the chessboard of a game that is in full swing today took place at the end of last year. Sparkasse, the Bolzano Savings Bank, had unveiled its strategy: an alliance aimed at creating a banking, and perhaps even insurance, pole in the Northeast.

To be involved in this project was Civibank, the former Popolare today spa, now the last independent bank in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
