Through Decree 618 of 2024, the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar prohibited entry and bathing in spas Hurtado (Guatapurí River), La Vega and La Mina, as a result of the strong floods during this rainy season. This decree will be in force for 15 days and its application began this Friday, May 10.
“These are the places with the greatest affluence. The idea is to raise awareness among citizens that entry to these spas cannot be given due to the high rainfall,” explained the Secretary of the Municipal Government, Jorge Pérez. The Mayor’s Office decreed a public calamity and the urgency manifested in Valledupar to act quickly in the face of events that recorded in the city in the rainy season.
Likewise, during this decree, the administration will comply with a judicial action that orders the installation of a care team in the spa.
