They put a dead cat on buried money to mislead prosecutors in drug proceedings in the Port of La Libertad – Diario La Página

Personnel from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the National Civil Police (PNC) continue the search for more money that could be hidden in some homes in the Puerto de La Libertad area and that are linked to drug traffickers who They operate in the department of La Libertad.

It was reported that the drug traffickers had killed a cat to place the corpse on top of a large amount of money that they had buried and thus try to mislead prosecutors, police and drug and money sniffing dogs.

The drug traffickers even used pots to cook beans and hide the money underground, but that did not prevent the officers from locating some places where the cash was.

It all started in the early hours of this Wednesday in two homes located on San Diego beach, in Puerto de La Libertad. One of the homes belongs to professor José Samuel Peñate Sola, who is being prosecuted for illicit drug trafficking. Samuel Peñate was stationed at a school on El Zonte beach, also in La Libertad. He was captured on March 5 with possession of 4,826 grams of marijuana, $837, two cell phones and a vehicle.

With Samuel, his life partner, Oneida from Los Angeles Vides Portillo, was also captured for being linked to drug trafficking.

So far, the seizure of $15,059 that was buried in the homes has been reported, however, more money is expected to be found.
