Government authorities, together with Chinese delegates, carried out the first supervision tour in the construction area of the new Ilopango Water Treatment Plant, in order to verify the progress made 45 days after the work began.
“This morning, we have verified the physical advances, equipment, machinery, the workers who are going to be integrated into this project, where there is a high level of ANDA professionals working hand in hand with China,” explained the president of ANDA, Rubén Alemán. .
This work will have a battery of eight wells that will strengthen the drinking water service in seven municipalities, including: Soyapango, Ilopango, San Martín, Santiago Texacuangos and San Francisco Chinameca, benefiting 250,000 people in the southern sector of San Salvador.
“We have been able to verify the construction of the cistern, which will house around 10,000 cubic meters, as well as the sludge treatment, we have been able to observe and locate where the first well will be drilled next month,” Alemán added.
