The construction work of 913 meters of hydraulic concrete surfaces officially began this Friday, February 23, with the leveling of the ground between the Los Baires and Los Hernández hamlets.

On this road, completely deteriorated and which includes another 600 meters which will not be intervened due to its good condition, other works are being carried out such as the construction of speed bumps, ditch curbs, leveling of wells and pipes will be relocated, among others.

This project was launched less than a month after the DOM began the complete transformation of more than a kilometer of the urban road network of San Lorenzo with the construction of a modern hydraulic concrete surface.

With these two projects, the Government of President Nayib Bukele will not only modernize the urban and rural road network of San Lorenzo, but will also boost the economy, commerce and tourism of this place characterized, among others, by the cultivation of sugar cane such as making wood and textile crafts.

At the departmental level, the DOM has delivered more than 148 blocks of the urban area of ​​San Vicente as well as other roads in Verapaz, while advancing more works in Guadalupe, Tecoluca, San Sebastián, Apastepeque and San Lorenzo. Work is also being carried out to improve rural streets in San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Tepetitán and San Cayetano Istepeque.

In Tecoluca, a clinic for hemodialysis treatment was delivered and construction work on a comprehensive center for citizen coexistence is progressing. Construction works are also being carried out on a school in Santo Domingo, the municipal park of San Esteban Catarina and the historic center of San Vicente.
