The Filbo 2024 International Book Fair paid tribute to the Certega writer Arnoldo de los Santos Palacios Mosquera, on the centenary of his birth.

On Friday, April 26, a discussion about the life and work of Arnoldo Palacios took place with the participation of José Palacios, (Arnobio’s nephew), the cultural manager Amalia de Pombo and the writer and editor Leonardo Archila.

The conversation was called ‘The legacy of Arnoldo Palacios in Afro-Colombian literature’. «The work has such power that it rises from the ashes alone. It disappears, someone finds it, reads it and it impacts again,” said cultural manager Amalia de Pombo about the book ‘The Stars Are Black’, by Arnoldo Palacios.

In 2024, it will be one hundred years since the birth of this precursor of the novel of denunciation in the country, author of ‘The stars are black’, ‘Buscando Mi Madrededión’, ‘The jungle and the rain’, among others, in which He talks about Chocó and his experiences.
