In fact, it was the troupe of director Gianluca Mangiasciutti who saw three mortar shells resurfaced, of those used for anti-aircraft, with a length of 40 centimeters. Immediate alarm to the police who have secured and manned the area, awaiting the intervention of the bomb squad of Fossano who set off the bombs yesterday morning, Tuesday 29. The mayor Mario Mottino also issued an ordinance to prevent access to the area, frequented by the young athletes of the rowing team. “Historians know that at the time of the Second World War – says Mottino – the retreating Germans had thrown weapons and ammunition into the waters of the lake: a fact then documented by an inspection with a geo-radar, carried out in the 2000s by the Polytechnic. of Turin. The lowering of the lake by more than one meter, due to drought, and the currents have made the three bombs resurface which are no longer functional, but which in any case must be safely removed by expert personnel ».

Two weeks ago an antipersonnel mine had re-emerged from the dry waters of the Caluso canal in the countryside of the Tonengo di Mazzè hamlet. In that case, however, it cannot be excluded that someone, after having found them doing some excavation work, threw them into the canal to get rid of them, when the water flowed. They can remain active for 40 years and on average contain more than half a kilo of explosives.

Shooting for the film, produced and distributed by Eagle Picture of Milan, will resume on Friday. The crew had already been to Volpiano to shoot some scenes of the film in a factory in the industrial area. The cast includes the Roman actress Aurora Giovinazzo, 19, and Lorenzo Richelmy, seen at the cinema alongside Sergio Castellitto in the film The talent of the hornet, where he plays the role of Dj Steph, a young and famous DJ and radio speaker. –
