The president of the United States of America (USA), Joe Biden, has become the subject of criticism around the world after a few hours ago he established Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility.
According to a statement released by the Biden administration, this decision was made to “reaffirm the commitment to forming a more perfect union, where all people are created and treated equal throughout their lives.”
“Transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our nation. Whether serving their communities or in the military, raising families or running businesses, they help America prosper. “They deserve and are entitled to the same rights and freedoms as any other American, including the most fundamental freedom to be themselves,” reads part of the statement distributed by the Biden Administration.
The news has generated adverse reactions around the world not so much for the fact of establishing the Transgender Day of Visibility, but for doing so precisely on March 31, just when the Catholic religion worldwide is celebrating Easter Sunday, when The resurrection of Jesus is exalted, the date with which the liturgical activities of Holy Week culminate.
Some considered that Biden should reverse this decision, but in reality no one believes that he will do so because they considered that there is a hidden agenda behind this decision.
