In the plans that the Huila Police have been deploying to seize all types of weapons. And thus prevent the occurrence of acts of violence and intolerance. Which lead to homicides, injuries, domestic violence or violence against public servants. Two firearms have been seized this weekend.
Thus, in the municipality of Altamira, the surveillance patrol captured a 24-year-old man. He was carrying a traumatic pistol with modified ammunition for greater lethality.
Likewise in the municipality of Santa María, police units managed to capture a man in the Avenida neighborhood. Carrying a firearm, revolver type, 38 caliber, with 5 cartridges for it.
These two men were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities, as allegedly responsible for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
According to Colonel Carlos Téllez, commander of the Huila Police Department, these controls will be maintained throughout this weekend in places with the greatest influx of public and commercial sectors, in order to seize all types of elements that could affect the life and integrity of people.
