In a joint operation, the National Police arrested two minors who were riding a motorcycle reported stolen in the San Antonio del Valle de Laboyos neighborhood.
This fact is part of the intervention plan currently underway in the municipality, which has the reinforcement of 50 additional troops.
The quick action of the authorities allowed the recovery of the vehicle and the arrest of the two young people involved in the alleged illegal appropriation of the motorcycle, which was already listed as stolen in the identification system.
Simultaneously, in another operation, the seizure of a traumatic weapon that was in the possession of an individual. This subject was subjected to the provisions of Law 1801 of 2016. The police intervention in Pitalito has resulted in the seizure of five weapons in recent days.

Colonel William Javier Lara Avendaño, commander of the Huila Police Department, who leads the operations in Pitalito, highlighted the importance of these results in the first days of the intervention. He affirmed that police action will continue with determination to guarantee security in the municipality.
In recent days, several arrests have been made in Pitalito related to drug trafficking, theft, personal injuries, illegal possession of firearms and others, as well as the recovery of motorcycles and the seizure of hallucinogens.
It is worth mentioning that these operations have increased due to the recent acts of violence but the commander of the Huila Police assured that these acts do not correspond to any supposed cleanup and on the contrary are due to other issues that are being investigated and that are on the right track.
