Universidad CES and Sura join forces to provide care to pets in Colombia

A strategic alliance between the CES University and SURA has given rise to BIVETT, a veterinary center that aims to offer comprehensive care for the care of companion animals in Colombia.

This new veterinary clinic offers a wide range of services, including 15 specialties ranging from outpatient consultation to conventional and laparoscopic surgery, dentistry, x-rays and ultrasounds, in addition to a hospitalization capacity for 80 patients simultaneously.

With a joint investment of close to 12 million dollars, which includes structuring, planning and expansion to six other countries in the region, these entities seek to transform the relationship between veterinary doctors, guardians and their pets.

“We know how important our pets are, that is why we have launched a bet with which we seek to grow quickly in the country,” said Juana Francisca Llano, president of Suramericana. The alliance between an insurer and the academy represents a historical milestone, and Suramericana seeks to link those companion animals that make a difference in people’s lives.

According to spokespersons from Sura and Universidad CES, this is a new concept in animal care that promotes a collaborative approach to promote comprehensive well-being. In the words of the rector of the CES University, “we want to become an open and collaborative network of specialists in the sector, committed to innovation and excellence in animal care and well-being.”

Standardization of care at this new clinic is expected to raise quality standards, leading to superior clinical outcomes and comprehensive well-being beyond conventional veterinary medical care. As a result of this approach, the first user association will be created, prioritizing the tutor’s experience and dignifying the veterinary profession.

The first BIVETT centers will be located in Colombia, but it is expected that, leveraged by the regional presence of Suramericana, in the medium term they will be able to expand their presence in the region, starting with Mexico.
