The Valledupar Fire Department rescued the body of a young man who died as a result of a traffic accident on the fourth avenue of Valledupar, specifically in the vicinity of the DPA.
The victim was identified as Edwin Tapieros, who was driving a Nissan truck with VAO 752 plates and was trapped between the twisted cans when he hit a tree.
This young man was a student in the second semester of veterinary medicine at the Andean Area University of this capital and lived in the Dangond neighborhood.
Regarding the causes of the accident, the municipal traffic authorities indicated that they will undergo an analysis to have an accurate report.
“What we can observe at the site is that the truck is apparently coming from a north-south direction, in the last curve before reaching the 7 Bis race you can see some carvings on the green area and the impact with three trees, The last one is where the truck was embedded in the green area. Yes, there is defined signage throughout this area and we will be doing the respective analysis to determine what caused the accident,” said Gilberto Max, official of the Municipal Transit Secretariat.
Tapieros’ relatives arrived at the scene of the accident, showing themselves hurt by the unexpected news of his death.
