The administrative staff of the Provincial Assembly of Kinshasa (APK), composed of all agents and executives, indicated via a press release made public yesterday, Thursday, February 1, that they will not welcome the new provincial deputies and organize the inaugural plenary , scheduled for next Monday, February 5, after which the provisional Office will be installed. This, following more than 15 months of arrears.

The outgoing Bureau of the deliberative body threatens the hierarchy of the administration for having written to the governor of the city, requesting the costs for the organization of the opening plenary.

« Unpaid for more than 15 months, the administrative staff of the Provincial Assembly of Kinshasa informs national and provincial opinion that it is impossible to welcome the new elected officials and organize the inaugural plenary at the end from which the provisional office will be installed. All offices of this deliberative body remain closed until further notice » informs the correspondence.

The provincial elections in the DRC took place last Wednesday, December 20 in the DRC. The provisional results were published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (Ceni) on the night of January 21 to Monday, January 22. 688 candidates were provisionally elected out of the 780 expected for the whole of the DRC.
