Vaccine exemptions, doctor investigated in Belluno: he is accused of forgery

On Saturday the carabinieri carried out the provision of the Prosecutor’s Office. Computer and phone seized from Dr. Favero

BELLUNO. Two clinics searched, phones and computers seized. The Prosecutor’s Office of Belluno has opened an investigation against Dr. Luca Favero, a general practitioner and medical guard in Alto Agordino, for some exemptions from the Covid vaccination that he has issued.

On Saturday afternoon the carabinieri of the Caprile station, in compliance with the order of the Prosecutor’s Office, carried out a search in the Caprile and Livinallongo clinics, where they seized the doctor’s computers and mobile phones to carry out investigations aimed at investigations. The accusation is of ideological falsification in certificates committed by persons carrying out a service of public necessity.

In particular, the vaccine exemptions issued by Favero against two people in the Alto Bellunese are in the sights of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The latter also received a visit from the carabinieri, who in addition to telephones and computers also seized the exemption certificates. The two people, a man and a woman, are accused in concert of ideological falsehood in certificates and also of attempted fraud.

The two exemptions were issued on 10 February, but from 8, explains Favero himself, it was no longer possible to do them according to the usual procedure: the exemptions in fact became digital. “I had heard that there was an extension,” he explains himself. «An email had arrived indicating this change, but I have not read it, because during the day I am a general practitioner, every night I am on medical guard and also on weekends. I can’t keep up with all the things that change from day to day and then my emails are jammed with requests from patients “. Favero, therefore, claims not to have seen the communication that the procedures for the exemptions have been changed. But it is not yet known whether this is the problem or the exemption itself for the Prosecutor’s Office.

“In recent months I have seen 1,400 people and I have issued fifteen exemptions,” continues the doctor. “And I did it after analyzing the family history and considering the state of health of the patients.” The two people who contacted Favero, continues the doctor, “had the characteristics to be exempt from vaccination against Covid”.

It is about a man and a woman who are not Favero’s patients. One of the two people went to the doctor for a prescription, as her GP was too far away and she needed it. “Up to now I have never been challenged for the exemptions I have issued,” concludes Favero. “The problem is that for me computers and phones are work tools, and Monday (today, ed) I have to work”.

Favero, who resides in Vigonovo (Venice), is a member of the medical order of Padua, which has opened proceedings against him for having worked during a period in which he was suspended. An employee of Ulss 1, he resigned a few weeks ago. He will be on duty until March 30th.
