Surrounded by family, friends, and the Valledupar Journalists’ Circle, this Thursday, January 18, the tomb where the body of the beloved journalist Rosa Elena Rosado Quintero rests could be seen, which is located in the Jardines del Eccehomo cemetery in the city. .
The commemoration of the first anniversary of the death of the social communicator had different special moments that sought to remember the great human being that ‘Ocha’ Rosado was, who surprisingly left this world leaving many saddened hearts.
The commemorative event began at 7:30 am, giving way to an emotional floral offering at the Jardines del Eccehomo cemetery, by the Círculo de Periodistas de Valledupar, who expressed their eternal admiration for ‘Ocha’ Rosado.
Subsequently, the Government of Cesar paid tribute behind closed doors, with the performance of a mass, with the purpose of asking for the eternal rest of Rosa Rosado and remembering her valuable legacy. Recognizing her contribution, the event brought together family and friends of the remembered journalist.
Next, from 11 am to 1 pm, La Voz de Marquezote and Cardenal Stereo carried out a radio special, turning the frequency into a stage for conversations that rescued vivid moments of ‘Ocha’.

Finally, the day culminated in the Cristo Rey parish in the Simón Bolívar neighborhood at 4:00 pm, where family and friends offered prayers with gratitude and affection. The book ‘Una Rosa al Cielo’ was also delivered, a testimony that captures the various facets of ‘Ocha’ as a politician, journalist, neighborhood leader and supportive friend.
Likewise, memorable events were held for the sensitive death of the audiovisual producer, Jairo Bolívar Araújo, who died in the same road event that caused the death of Rosa Rosado.
The events took place at 6 pm, in the Natividad de María parish, located in the El Novalito neighborhood, where family, friends and colleagues attended, who had the opportunity to share with the professional and once again fondly remember the sad departure. of the graphic producer.
