Venezuelan migrant was caught in Virginia for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl

Renzo Mendoza Montes, a 32-year-old Venezuelan migrant who entered the United States illegally, was arrested last week on charges of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. The arrest was made by Campbell County deputies in Virginia.

Montes faces two felonies, including “carnal knowledge of a child without strength” and “taking indecent liberties with a child.” Authorities have confirmed that Montes has been in the country illegally since crossing the southern border into El Paso, Texas on September 2.

According to reports from Fox News, Montes was detained and released by US Customs and Border Protection prior to the allegations of sexual assault. He is currently being held without bail at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail while authorities continue to investigate the case.

Officials in Virginia have vowed to seek justice for the victim and ensure that Montes faces the consequences of his actions. The case has stirred up concern over the safety of minors and the effectiveness of border control measures in preventing crimes like this from happening.

The community is urged to come forward with any information or additional possible victims related to this case. Stay tuned for updates as the investigation unfolds.
