Zhejiang Province Promotes High-Quality Development to Strive for Chinese-Style Modernization
On the morning of March 27th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on “Promoting High-Quality Development” with Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Wang Hao from Zhejiang Province. Wang Hao introduced the efforts being made in Zhejiang to promote high-quality development with the theme of “bravely being a pioneer and writing a new chapter” on the journey towards Chinese-style modernization.
Zhejiang, known as the birthplace of the Chinese revolution, has been given special attention by General Secretary Xi Jinping, who has personally tailored development strategies for the province. With the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Zhejiang aims to become a pioneer in Chinese-style modernization and elevate its development to unprecedented heights.
Key priorities for Zhejiang include focusing on high-quality economic development, deepening innovation, reform, and opening up, narrowing the income and regional gaps, and promoting ecological sustainability. Governor Wang Hao highlighted the province’s achievements in these areas, such as the successful hosting of the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games, which showcased the progress being made in Chinese modernization.
During the press conference, officials from Zhejiang discussed key measures to continue implementing the “Eight-Eight Strategy” and the impacts of initiatives like the “Thousand Villages Demonstration” project. They also addressed concerns from Chinese and foreign media regarding the promotion of the private economy, talent development, and environmental conservation.
As Zhejiang pushes forward on its path towards high-quality development, Governor Wang Hao emphasized the importance of adhering to Xi Jinping’s vision for a better future and making significant contributions to China’s strong country construction and national rejuvenation.
