The national leader highlighted the work that the Armed Forces and the National Police have been carrying out to regain control of security in the country and invited tourists from around the world to visit Ecuador.
President Daniel Noboa during an interview on Telemadrid stated that his visit to Spain had as its main objective, to bring good news from Ecuador to the countries participating in the 2024 International Tourism Fair, as well as to provide solidarity to Ecuadorian migrants in the Iberian nation. .
“We have come to give good news, to give strength to our migrant brothers and to represent the country in Fitur 2024,” He recalled that Ecuador was one of the invited countries and celebrated the management developed by the Ministry of Tourism.
The mandatary explained that thanks to the “traffic light” that is developing in the country “we are returning to normality,” indicated that there is already tourist cantons where there are no restrictions to circulation and Sierra region young people are already returning to face-to-face classes.
Security returns to normal
The president was also consulted about security in the country, pointing out that little by little, thanks to the actions determined action of the Armed Forces and the National Police is regaining control throughout the national territory.
He noted that next November in Cuenca the Ibero-American Summit of Nations will be held, “that is a sign that we are taking back control of the country and we will be hosts of all the Latin American countries that will be accompanying us,” he stated.
The president explained that the situation of insecurity in Ecuador was affecting the entire productive system of the nation, “what was happening was affecting the business class, entrepreneurs, the small establishments that lived being extorted by these narcoterrorist groups, it is no longer just violence in the streets, it is extortion”, he noted.
