“We never feel like underdogs” – first team reaches Super Bowl

In the duel between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs for a place in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs, who had started as underdogs this time, prevailed. The Ravens quarterback created a spectacular scene.
The Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl again. The defending champion in the National Football League (NFL) won 17:10 at the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and will face either the Detroit Lions with German professional Amon-Ra St. Brown or the San Francisco 49ers in two weeks. In Baltimore, Chiefs professional Travis Kelce showed his best game of the season. The friend of pop superstar Taylor Swift scored the first touchdown of the hard-fought game and caught a total of eleven passes for 116 yards.
“It’s been a great year, we’re not done yet,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “We were the underdogs in the last two games. But we never feel like an outsider.”
Mahomes won the duel with Lamar Jackson from the Ravens. In addition to his touchdown pass, Mahomes had throws for a total of 241 yards, Jackson also finished the game with a touchdown and passes for a total of 272 yards – but also an interception and a bad pass. The Chiefs are now in the Super Bowl for the fourth time in the last five years. A win on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas would be the team’s second straight title, third in the past five years and fourth in team history. The Ravens haven’t been to the Super Bowl since winning in February 2013.

Jackson provided a highlight in the offensively better first half when he caught his own pass attempt that had previously been deflected by a Chiefs defender. The preliminary decision was a scene in the final quarter when Ravens professional Zay Flowers had the ball knocked out of his arms just before the end zone and the Chiefs gained possession of the ball without conceding any points.

Flowers scored the hosts’ only touchdown in the first half and had a strong, but ultimately unfortunate, game. The Chiefs, for their part, were also unable to capitalize on the next attack, but got the ball back a second time with an intercepted pass.
