The mayor of Yopal Marco Tulio Ruíz Riaño, accompanied by the Secretary of Planning, Claudia Patricia Cárdenas, met with delegates from the United Nations Development Program -UNDP-, North American representatives and FONDETEC, achieving a strategic alliance to advance the TOAR project in the city, which are Works, Works and Activities with Restorative content, a strategy that seeks to rebuild the social fabric and promote reconciliation in the post-conflict.

The project contemplated for Yopal is the construction of an emblematic park with an environment of peace and reconciliation in the municipality.

The collaboration and commitment demonstrated by all parties involved in this project reflect the importance of working together and in a coordinated manner to build a more just and equitable future for all people affected by situations of violence and conflict.

Within the framework of the meeting, the mayor of the city was honored with a medal for his willingness and support for projects of social relevance. The delivery of this recognition by representatives of a North American entity highlights the commitment of the head of municipal government in promoting initiatives that contribute to the reparation and support of victims.

This recognition and joint commitment represent a significant step on the path towards the consolidation of reparation and reconciliation processes in the community, demonstrating the will and determination of all the actors involved in building a better future for the city and its inhabitants.
