Betty, 18 years old and weighing around 600 kilograms, slipped into a small stream next to the pasture and was probably stuck there all night.
Fire brigade saves cow from stream
A walker discovered the completely exhausted animal on Sunday morning and called the emergency number.
Using a special harness and a tractor, Betty was able to get upright again. Because she was too weak on her legs, she was driven all the way to her stable. According to the fire department, she is doing well.
