A woman was murdered with a knife inside the Cómbita prison in Boyacá, at the hands of an inmate, who would be her sentimental partner.
It was confirmed that the 33-year-old victim arrived from Valle del Cauca to attend a conjugal visit at the El Barne high and medium security prison on Sunday, May 14. Minutes later, INPEC guards reported the case to the local authorities.
The inmate was identified as 27-year-old Efraín Sarmiento, who is behind bars serving a sentence for the crime of femicide.
The woman suffered a serious neck injury, which caused severe bleeding that caused her death in a few minutes.
Although the subject warned what happened and accepted the crime, the case is investigated by the authorities.
