The Government Council adopts a draft decree relating to the quality and health safety of food salt:
The Government Council, meeting Thursday in Rabat, adopted draft decree no. 2.22.831 relating to the quality and health safety of food salt. Presented by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, this project takes into account the development of the food salt market, in particular the appearance of new types of salt such as light salt, seasoning salt, and the technological difficulties linked to the iodization of fleur du sel and coarse salt, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas. In this wake, he stressed that it was considered appropriate to revise the regulations in force in broad consultation with the ministerial departments and the professions concerned.
In addition, the minister noted that the said decree sets the conditions capable of ensuring the quality and health safety of food salt, in accordance with the provisions of articles 5 and 8 of law n°28-07 relating to the health safety of foodstuffs.
The Governing Council examines a cooperation agreement between Morocco and the Sultanate of Oman in the field of maritime transport and ports:
The Governing Council examined on Thursday the cooperation agreement in the field of maritime transport and ports, signed on July 4, 2023 in Rabat, between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as draft law no. 39.23 approving said agreement.
The two texts were presented by the Secretary General of the Government, Mohamed Hajoui, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with the parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing after the Council.
The cooperation agreement, he said, aims to implement the contribution of both parties to the development of economic and commercial relations, as well as maritime activities, with a view to developing, facilitating and organizing commercial maritime transport between both countries, and use their ports and national maritime fleets for the achievement of common development.
It also aims to encourage shipping companies, organize maritime transport operations and facilitate the exchange of expertise in the fields of new technologies, in addition to promoting cooperation between the two countries in related works. port activities and services, ship maintenance, as well as port safety and security, and environmental protection within the port.
The Governing Council approves proposals for appointment to higher positions:
The Governing Council approved, on Thursday, proposals for appointment to higher functions, in accordance with the provisions of article 92 of the Constitution.
At the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports -Department of National Education-, MM. Ali Lahlou and Sidi Mohamed Abit were respectively appointed director of the Regional Center for Education and Training Professions of Laâyoune Sakia-El Hamra, and director of the Regional Center for Education and Training Professions of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing following the council meeting.
The council also endorsed the appointment of Ms. Leila Bilrha as Inspector General of the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills – Department of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, he added.
At the level of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, MM. Tarik Sqalli Houssaini and Abderrahim Lahrach were respectively appointed dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry of Fez and director of the National School of Applied Sciences of Fez.
The appointment of Mr. Abdesslam Nadah to the post of director of planning within the High Planning Commission was also approved.
