The Brussels police found a dying man on a sidewalk in the chic Avenue Louise near the center of Brussels on Monday evening. The victim had gunshot wounds and is in life-threatening condition.
No one had heard or seen what preceded when the police found the seriously injured man between nine and ten on Monday evening. According to our information, he was taken to hospital with two gunshot wounds to the head. It is not clear at this time whether the man was shot on the spot or was dumped in Avenue Louise after a shooting elsewhere in the city.
The Brussels public prosecutor’s office confirms that a seriously injured nineteen-year-old man has been taken away. “He is indeed in mortal danger,” it sounds. The public prosecutor’s office does not wish to provide further details. According to our information, no suspects have been arrested so far and it is not clear what the motive is behind this case.(cds)
