However, the above information has not been officially confirmed by the Chinese Communist Party.
Public information shows that Yu Zhigang is 49 years old this year. He entered China University of Political Science and Law to teach in 2001, and was promoted to associate professor the following year. From 2004 to 2005, he went to Oxford University as a visiting scholar. In 2005, he was promoted to professor, and in 2006, he became a doctoral supervisor. .
In 2006, as a scholar, Yu Zhigang concurrently served as the deputy chief prosecutor of the Beijing Shunyi District Procuratorate. Since 2009, he has served as the vice president of the Graduate School of China University of Political Science and Law and the director of the Academic Affairs Office. In May 2015, he was appointed as the vice president of China University of Political Science and Law. Since March 2018, he has been a member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Constitution and Law Committee.
On January 22, 2021, Yu Zhigang was investigated.
On November 25, 2021, Yu Zhigang’s bribery case was opened. From 2013 to 2017, he was accused of seeking benefits for others and illegally accepting a total of more than 6.91 million yuan when he served as the director of the Academic Affairs Office and vice president of China University of Political Science and Law. Yu Zhigang’s case has not yet been pronounced.
The Mainland Economic Observatory once reported that insiders said that Yu Zhigang was suspected of illegally intervening in the (CCP) “anti-criminal and evil” case, and was suspected of corruption in the self-enrollment exam of the China University of Political Science and Law, and “sucked money from it”. “Very huge.
