From 21 March, World Poetry Day: a calendar until next autumn, both in the hometowns and on the radio

TREVISO. “Zanzotto 100”, the long series of events promoted for the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Andrea Zanzotto, who passed away 10 years ago.

It is a calendar that will last until next autumn, touching places all over Italy. Among the events on 21 March, a live streaming of meetings and readings and, at 8.15 pm, on Rai RadioTre, «Alfabeto Zanzotto», dialogue by Gian Luca Favetto and Marco Paolini.

The celebrations come to life from 3 to 6 June with the Zanzotto Marathon, which will include a poetic path on foot, in the evening, in Pieve di Soligo, a town already a finalist for the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2022 with a project on the dialogue between culture and territory and a twenty-four hour of poetry.

On 26 and 27 June we continue with the presentation of the 12 itineraries that make up the Zanzotto Constellation on the traces of poetry and the life of the poet, to be traveled by bicycle, on foot or on horseback, between the Treviso hills, Santo Stefano di Cadore and Valbelluna, Padua and the Euganean Hills.

The program will culminate on 10 October, the day of the anniversary of his birth, with the inauguration of the Paternal House of Andrea Zanzotto, restored and recovered, to become a place of objects and memories.

From 8 to 10 October, Pieve di Soligo will host the international conference «Zanzotto, a century. From Pieve di Soligo to the world »with the presentation of the film« Logos Zanzotto ». «Zanzotto 100» is organized by the Andrea Zanzotto Centenary Promoting Committee with the Fondazione Casa Paterna di Andrea Zanzotto, supported by the Veneto Region and created in collaboration with the Municipality of Pieve di Soligo and the patronage of the Province of Treviso.
