A remarkable free kick gave TSV 1860 Munich a 1-0 win and three points on matchday 26 of the 3rd league. Hallesche FC were on par for long stretches, but Julian Guttau’s fine footing ensured the decision.
TSV 1860 Munich remains firmly in midfield in the 3rd league. The Lions won 1-0 at home against Halleschen FC, Julian Guttau scored the goal of the day with a free kick.
1860 and hall at eye level
The guests from Saxony-Anhalt took a while to get into the game. After a shaky initial phase, Hallesche FC didn’t allow much, and the Lions’ pressing became more and more ineffective. In 1860 they still took the lead with a direct free kick, which Julian Guttau sank impressively from almost 20 meters into the right corner (17th).
As a result, the HFC remained at least equal, Löwen keeper Richter was just able to direct an Eitschberger shot onto the post. But in 1860 Lakenmacher (32′) could have struck a second time, perhaps even should.
Both teams also played on the same level for long stretches of the second half, and there were chances on both sides. The Lions’ victory was well deserved thanks to the remarkable free kick.
