Angri-Matera: the old rule is confirmed

A very particular match between Angri and Matera. The friendship between the two sets of fans is a memory that has faded over time and it is immediately evident, from the moment the two sets of fans enter the stands, that the match between Angri and Matera will be a match pulsating with life.

In the “Pasquale Novi” grandstand, the local grey-reds position themselves in the center behind the “ANGRESI” banner which, for some time now, has brought together all the souls of the Cavallino fans, with the exception of the “CRAZY GROUP” which in fact displays its banner to the right of the sector.

The entrance of the Matera ultras who burst in compactly, with flags and hands in the air, was very scenic. For the usual reasons of public order, due to the size of the guest sector, the tickets sent to Matera were limited to one hundred.

Under a gray sky threatening rain, the chants and choreographies of both fans inflame and color the stadium for the entire ninety minutes. At the end of the first half, however, some skirmishes took place on the pitch and in the stands.

The second half is full of action from both teams, yet the result does not change and at the referee’s final whistle for the records there will be a 1-1 draw which is perhaps good for both, given that they move the table in a treacherous race and keep their ranking objectives unchanged.

The post-match period is much more complicated and sees long moments of tension between the two sets of fans, once again confirming the rule that old friendships turn into rivalries once the original relationship breaks down.
