After Saturday’s sprint on the Gaviot track, which received approval from technicians and athletes, today’s grand finale with a vertical test with a start at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level in the Quadriposto Mirafiori area.
The seniors had to face 800 m of positive altitude difference spread over 3 km, while under 20s and under 18s competed over 500 m up. The Under 16s and the Under 18s instead faced a 400 m climb.
Behind the scenes, a good first for Artesina Sporting Club which for this organizational debut in the Italian Cup made use of the precious contribution of the Alpine Rescue (Mondovì section) and the experience of the multiple specialty world champion Damiano Lenzi.
