Alps League hockey. The Vicenza players go 2-0 in the quarter-final series and can close tomorrow night

Another narrow victory for Asiago. Also at the Olimpico, in game 2 of the Alps quarter-finals, Cortina is defeated 2-1 by their cousins from Vicenza who, with another success in game 3, could reach the semifinals of the transalpine league tomorrow.
It all happens in the third period, after so much balance, Faloppa breaks the deadlock. But within 2 ‘McParland and Dal Sasso respond, giving a very heavy victory to the Giallorossi and condemning Hafro to having to win three games in a row to dream of the semi-final.
Few changes in the formations of the two teams compared to game 1. Coach Machacka confirms De Filippo between the posts and a front line with Cordiano, Phil and Chad Pietroniro, Giftopoulos and Cazzola. Luca Zanatta also returns to the roster, after a long period of absence.

Asiago always seems to be able to hurt but the most tempting opportunity is on De Zanna’s cue who does not find the right angle. Meanwhile, De Filippo’s saves keep the hosts afloat, who risk a lot even when Mantenuto hits the outside post. In the final half, Giftopoulos first and Chad Pietroniro then do not see the right pocket for their teammates, in two situations that could be very dangerous. The Italian champions increase their physical intensity and pressure more and more but the Ampezzo wall holds up the hurt.
