TURIN. Matteo Berrettini tested himself for almost an hour on the training ground before deciding whether to take the field tonight and continue the Nitto Atp Finals in Turin or retire. The Roman champion, after the last medical examinations this morning, exchanged passes, forehand and backhand with sparring partner Jérôme Kym, before closing the training session with a series of serves. All under the watchful eye of his manager Ivan Ljubicic, his coach Vincenzo Santopadre and the federal coach Umberto Rianna. A crowd of fans attended the training session, greeting with applause and encouragement the idol of the house who did not escape a few autographs and a few selfies. But no answer to those who asked him about his condition. To find out if he will decide to play tonight we must therefore still wait.
