Australian Open 2022: updated scoreboard without Djokovic. Where to see it on TV: the dates – Sport

by admin

January 16, 2022 – The last page of the Djokovic case has been written: the number one in the ATP ranking, initially included in the scoreboard of the Australian Open 2022, was deported from Australia, with the Federal Court dismissing his visa cancellation appeal. The Serbian will therefore not be able to defend the crown of champion, nor conquer his 21st success in a Grand Slam tournament: overtaking against Roger Federer e Rafael Nadal it is therefore postponed. The exclusion of the ’87 class inevitably shuffles the cards. In its place, in the meantime, here is ours Salvatore Caruso, who becomes the tenth Italian to take part in the competition. Caruso who, in the round of 32, could cross Lorenzo Sonego. Directly affected by the absence of Djokovic also two other blues like Matteo Berrettini e Fabio Fognini, inserted in the upper part of the board, while all the other representatives of the Bel Paese are found in the lower one.
