Strong thunderstorms accompanied by hail are breaking down in various areas of South Tyrol. The most critical situation in Val di Fleres, side of the Alta Val d’Isarco, the last valley before the Brenner pass. The provincial road from Colle Isarco to Fleres di Dentro is closed as a result of mudslide with tree trunks. The Civil Protection has issued a warning for the population of Fleres in South Tyrol inviting them not to leave their homes, to avoid the side rivers and the main river of the valley after the strong wave of bad weather that caused a huge mudslide.

Wave of bad weather on the Ossola valleys this afternoon. A violent hailstorm struck in the early afternoon in Val Formazza; shortly before 2.30 pm, grains up to two centimeters large fell to the ground. Hail also at high altitude, at the Devero alp in the Antigorio valley. At the same time, in the Vigezzo Valley, lightning struck an Enel substation in Vocogno, a fraction of the municipality of Craveggia, which at the moment is still partially without electricity.
